The Ontario Student Assistance Program (OSAP)

OSAP may help to pay for your education, and the Student Awards and Financial Aid Office at Brock University is happy to assist you with your application. You are encouraged to apply before June 30, 2014 to ensure your loan is processed on time.

Apply for Student Awards

Brock offers numerous awards, scholarships and bursaries. You can apply to the vast majority of these awards through the Brock University OneApp.

In addition to the awards available through the OneApp, there are automatic admission awards, prestige awards and awards for incoming student athletes.

The Brock University OneApp

The OneApp, Brock’s universal awards and bursaries application allows you to apply for all of our awards and bursaries with just one application. We will determine which awards you qualify for and show you the list.

STEP ONE — ACTIVATE

The first step, if you haven’t already done it, is to activate your my.brocku.ca student portal with your campus ID. Your campus ID was included in your acknowledgment letter from the Office of Admissions.

STEP TWO — APPLY

Once your account is active, click on the Applicant & Student Self Serve tab and select the OneApp — Scholarship and Bursaries Application link.

STEP THREE — THAT’S IT!

We’ll do the rest. You can check your academic eligibility for awards by clicking on the Student Awards and Financial Aid Award Status page on the Applicant & Student Self Serve tab.

All awards offered by Brock University are in addition to your renewable Brock Scholars Award.

Prestige Awards

Are you an exceptional student? Chances are, you are eligible for one of these prestigious awards.

Brock Leaders Citizenship Society Award

These honours are awarded to incoming secondary school students from all faculties. These individuals have demonstrated excellence academically and personally through community leadership. Applications close March 31, 2014.

These $8,000 ($2,000 per year) awards are renewed based on membership in the society. All members who receive the Brock Leaders Citizenship Society Award become members of the society.

Goodman Scholarship

Goodman Scholarships are awarded to students entering the Goodman School of Business who have demonstrated at least two of the following:

  • Leadership in school life and community life or provide evidence of entrepreneurial talent
  • Exceptional high academic grades
  • Financial need

Applications close March 31, 2014. These awards are valued at up to $8,000 and may be renewed based on a minimum 75% average at Brock University.

CIBC Brock Leaders Citizenship Society Award

This honour is awarded to one of the incoming Brock Leaders Citizenship Society Award recipients each year.

Tom and Linda Goldspink Brock Leader in the Humanities

This honour is awarded to one of the incoming Brock Leaders Citizenship Society Award recipients each year.

Admission Awards

Brock Scholars Awards are open to incoming students, from anywhere in the world! To qualify you must be entering into your first undergraduate program in the Fall term (no previous post-secondary experience). No application is required.

Admission Average (Final Grades)* Amount of Award
93% and above $14,000 ($3,500 for up to 4 years**)
90% to 92% $8,000 ($2,000 for up to 4 years**)
85% to 89% $4,000 ($1,000 for up to 4 years**)
80% to 84% $750 Payable in Year 1

* Your Admission Average is calculated using the prerequisites for your offered program of study. A Brock Scholars Award is offered at the time of admission and may increase or decrease if your final average changes.
** Brock Scholars Awards are renewable for up to 3 years. Students pursuing a 3-year degree will be eligible for 2 renewals. To renew your award you must maintain an 80% average in a minimum of 4.0 Fall/Winter credits.

Athletic Financial Awards

Brock offers athletic financial awards to many incoming student-athletes. Unless otherwise stated, an entrance average of 80% is required to qualify for these awards. For more information, please contact the team coach.
